About
StartOut is a US-based non-profit organization founded in 2009 that focuses on supporting LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and startup founders. Our mission is to increase the number, diversity, and impact of LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and also to amplify their stories, ultimately to drive the economic empowerment of the Queer community.
StartOut offers the majority of its programming virtually, including our mentorship program, accelerator, access to capital program and other programs. Some events are held in our 7 chapter cities across the country. Learn more about in-person chapters here.
We have built a community of 25,000 members and we support 400+ entrepreneurs every year. We provide direct individual support through community events, one-on-one mentorship, one-on-one office hours with experts, a 6-month accelerator program, and investor connections.
