SBA Federal HUBZone

July 25, 2023 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm CDT

$15.00

Learn how to become a HUB Certified Business. The HUBZone program fuels the growth of small businesses in historically underutilized business zones (HUBZones) by providing certification for preferential access to federal contracts. The federal government has a goal to award at least 3% of all federal contracting dollars to HUBZone-certified small businesses each year.

HUBZones provide an opportunity for federal contracting assistance to qualified small business concerns located in historically underutilized business zones. They represent an effort to increase employment opportunities, investment, and economic development in these designated areas.

If your small business is located in a designated HUBZone, it may be eligible for set-aside government contracts.

Program Benefits: The government limits competition contracts to businesses in historically underutilized business zones. It also considers those businesses in full and open competition.

Joining the HUBZone program makes your business eligible to compete for the program’s set-aside contracts. HUBZone-certified businesses also get a 10% price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions.
