The food industry is infamous for having and alarmingly high failure rate. New entrepreneurs trying to launch their own concept are often confused, intimidated and simply don’t know where to start.
The concept of Locavore is a much needed all-inclusive resource for foodie entrepreneurs in Fort Worth’s Near Southside. For culinary trailblazers who wish for access to their own commercial kitchen, event venue, and access to cost-cutting measures enjoyed by large restaurants, they finally have an affordable solution.
Through building this momentum and synergy for small businesses, we intend to create a thriving community of food entrepreneurs, helping them launch and grow their ideas while avoiding the common pitfalls that cause the high failure rate in the food industry.
All food businesses must produce their products in commercial kitchens in order to be compliant with health code. While there are a few rent-by-the-hour kitchens in Dallas/Fort Worth, Locavore is the only one that offers guidance and mentorship to new entrepreneurs.
In addition to kitchen amenities, Locavore also features venue space for events up to 200 people. Through hosting corporate and private functions, Locavore gives kitchen renters the opportunity to gain exposure and create income on events produced and organized in house.
Locavore is owned and operated by two individuals who understand small businesses, the food industry, and how to leverage technology for maximum exposure.
