ARE YOU A HISPANIC THAT DREAM OF STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS BUT DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START AND ENGLISH IS NOT YOUR PRIMARY LANGUAGE?
SCORE Fort Worth is offering two workshops for the first time in Spanish for persons that are that are thinking of starting up their own businesses or are established small business owners. One workshop is called: Sabe Lo Que Se Necesita Para Empezar un Negocio? The other is called: Como Escribir un Plan de Negocio Efectivo”. We will be presenting them on October 26 in our main training room in downtown Fort Worth at the James. E. Guinn Complex in the Near Southside.
SCORE is affiliated with the Small Business Administration (SBA). It has a national office and 300 hundred chapters located around the country. These 300 chapters have collectively helped over 22 million people in pursuit of their business goals in the last 50 years.
Our Fort Worth chapter currently has 67 volunteers who serve as mentors and educators to aspiring and established business owners. Many of our mentors have held executive level positions in the corporate business world or have been very successful in their personally-owned businesses. Our mentors conduct over 100 one-to-one mentoring sessions each month that are free of charge to you!
Our chapter also provides over 40 workshops on a wide range of business topics to educate and train clients. The description and schedule of workshops, which now include the two workshops in Spanish, can be found by going to www.scorefortworth.org and click on the page for local workshops.
Our two workshops in Spanish are 2 ½ hours each. A shorter version of the workshops was presented at two events in the last year held by Univision to foster Hispanic business ownership. They were very well received by over 100 persons who attended and found the content highly educational.
